So, I am not one to repeat crafts but this wreath was just too darn cute not to share! My Mom came to grab my boys while my Husband and I went off to quickly Stage a home (another avenue of work that I do/Stage homes for Resale) and she saw my Christmas Tree Garland Wreath from the last Blog post and said, “Gah! Brandi! This is so adorable! Could you plleeaaasse make one for me?!” I can’t tell you how many crafts I’ve had to re-create for her…it’s a good thing I love her! 😉 So off I went, Crafting in my hour of spare time this weekend! I found a scrap yard of fabric with sweet little strands of lights and she instantly fell in love! She quickly went to the local craft store and picked out paper, buttons and some snowflakes and then left me in charge. I think the thing I like about this wreath is how cheery, colorful and whimsical it is! I reminds me of a Gingerbread house in a way…like gun drops and yummy Christmas candies!
I really like the layered snowflake detail on the bottom left hand corner. There is so much going on…I almost felt like it would be too much. But to my surprise, it turned out to be just the right blend of color and texture.
Have fun blending different fabrics, paper and detail accents when making this wreath! I would love to see everyone’s take on this craft. Please feel free to share your own unique creation via my email…firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks everyone and stay tuned for another Christmas craft coming up in the next couple of days!
